he started very well, and i was agreeing with what he was saying; however, as i continued reading the article, i was getting to the impression that this is a very sad and angry person.

I agree whoever wrote this article needs to go out and get some fresh air.

I will pick one thing, because i want to watch the Daily Show undisturbed by idiocy:

They think no-one really prefers the Wii Wheel in Mario Kart Wii? Are they high? Look at the 9000+ score people you run into online, you'll see a golden wheel every time

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

I have no objection to his opinion, he's entitled to it.

What I fricking can't stand is the way he takes his personal taste and preferances, which is all they were, and present them as fact handed down from the mount on clay tablets.

No it is not a fact that there is something wrong with the wheel in MK. He doesn't like them -fine. He doesn't like motion control-fine, just to take on example, every section was the same. I don't care what HE LIKES. A lot of people do like the things he doesn't because not every gamer is a testosterone poisoned arrogant prick.

It's the attitude, not the words.

Standard IGN Practice.  If they acted like they didn't know everything, and didn't state everything in a 'you know it to be true and we know what you're thinking' fashion, then the people reading their site would start to think for themselves.  And then they wouldn't be reading reviews and needing opinions given to them in the first place.

Six upcoming games you should look into:

I like that article, it's not that bad. I don't agree with all the points, but I like what they are trying to get across. There are a lot of good games out there, very good games in fact, but nothing outstanding. Gaming is still young compared to other forms of entertainment and it's lack of maturity in comparision shows. Also technology is a big factor, forever holding developers back.

I think there is a lot of misinterpretation by some of the readers. They are sick of the same type of female characters. It's never anything different. Always edgy, clever and...most important bit....desirable. Typical of the lack of maturity in the video game industry.

You're going to have trouble convincing me that that's what he's saying, because several lines specifically indicate that he feels the novelty of strong female leads has worn off. His citation of certain characters supports this.
