Well according to VGchartz
Sonic Unleashed on Wii has 750000 in sales.
Sonic unleahsed PS3 + 360 has....750000 in sales.
Also consider that Wii version sells for 10 less.
Just something to think about.
The ps360 version will make its money back if it hasn't already. Wii will make a huge profit. All wii owners seem to LOVE the Wii version over everything else.
Isnt that an everybody wins situation?!?

No not really. Using a version that sells more, and makes more money as the back-up is stupid from a business perspective. Yuo sink the most money into the projects that make the most money. If they were expecting to just make a complette loss on the PS360 version it would be better to just cut it entirely and make it for where the fanbase actually is. If they don't expect both versions to be profitable on their own it would be stupid to make the one that wouldn't

There are 2 ways sega could have done this.
Invest everything in the Wii version and then port it to ps360 with mixed visuals. Or invest in the ps360 and then downsample the Wii version. They chose the second option. Again, since everyone loves the Wii version better, I don't see why you would mind their approach.
I am happy they chose this route because the people that appreciate the HD gaming would be able to tell rather easily if a game was ported from the wii (last crash bandicoot game for example) and we would have been wondering how good it would have been had it been it been made for HD consoles.
For Wii owners that feel that they were used by Sega...you have Black Knight coming exclusively in a short while and you got a "superior" version of Unleashed. What more do you want... Its not segas fault Wii is cheap to develop for.
