Yea, not gonna happen for a while. Level 5 needs to kepe their options open and sony's not really making bank right now.

Ahh yeah. It might be true that investors love their movey. But maybe they would give it all away just so that Sony could get an exclusive game two years later...................... NOT!!

don't see Sony to buy them but maybe Square-Enix would buy them and become SELv5 :)

Level 5 still makes a lot of money on DS, a lot more than they make on any other platform currently. I don't think they'd be willing to just let that fade. Not to mention making a successful game on a platform usually doesn't mean you are bought out.
Usually its the exact opposite. When a company is vulnerable it merges or is bought out which is why the rumors of Ninty buying Factor 5 actually works. Unless Level 5 is in trouble, which I doubt they are, they probably would like to stay independent.

This is a bit off topic, but it's likely it will not hit 400k LTD. The game has taken a massive dip if the VGC preview is anything to go by, making it track under Rogue Galaxy, which stopped at 0.36m. Legs are usually non-existant in Japan, especially for the losing consoles. The game was only able to track higher in week 2 because of Japan's New Year's boost. Still, I'm aware the game has done very well.

they cant even manage to make their consoles a success right now. what makes you think they have the money to buy anyone???especially level five, they make some of japan's biggest ds games.

Dragon quest alone will make FAR FAR FAR MORE MONEY then WKC will ever make so there is no way level five would let themselves be sold.

Level 5 makes games for Nintendo systems and makes lots of money doing so. With the relationship they have with SE making DQ, I cannot see them wanting to be bought out. There is no real benefit for them.
