Well, I wouldn't expect a slim PS3 that soon. I'd guess it wouldn't be until both CPU and GPU are 45nm, and maybe combined like PS2 EE+GS chip.

Also, who's to say there won't be 2 slimmed PS3's? Maybe one next year, then another in say, 2012-2013? I don't think it's all that far fetched, considering the size of the current/original PS3..it's pretty big.

that probably wont happen till 32nm. Basically 2010 or 11.

Any idea how much the differences in cost the smaller chipsets are compared to the current and original? I dont remember seeing anything in the article stating any numbers for this.
