I had no idea KZ2 had this feature.

Sometimes it's fun to just camp with a sniper rifle shooting bots in the head.  Good way to relax and wind down after a particularly bad day.  Used to do this with UT 1 on Facing Worlds.

And while it's great that Killzone 2 features bots, it's missing something that should be mandatory for any non-MMO multiplayer game.  The option to play a LAN game.  LAN + bots = tons of fun in place of proper co-op.

A few reasons.

Many nations like my own still have limited and prohibitively expensive access to high-speed internet. 1.5MBPS is still considered high-speed in most of this country (Australia, supposdely a developed economy).

Another reason is sucking compared to people that play Halo 3 8 hours a day.

I guess bots are good for consoles..

but for PC games like Half-Life Mods they suck...

TFC and DoD servers are filled with them (Not TFC2 of DoDs), there is nothing worse then joining a room and thinking you finally found real people to play with only to end up 30 minutes later to find out they were bots...

They even smack talk after they kill you those sons of bitches...

You could back in the day tell if they were bots by the times they were in the server for, if all the players were in the server for 12 minutes and 30 seconds, then well, there bots.. now they join at different times just to fool you....

I'm completely with you on this. Timesplitters has always been my favourite shooter series and this is one of the main reasons. Playing local multiplayer with bots has always been my favourite aspect to any shooter.

I honestly didn't know Killzone 2 had this as it was totally off my radar. This has piqued my interest, to say the least.

Another reason why Timesplitters is the best shooter series ever, thanks for reminding me.

Yes to bots, the bots on red faction on the ps2 were great.
