Forums - Sony - First online review of Killzone 2 awards game 4 out of 5

Swedish site GP has published what appears to be the first online review of Killzone 2, and has awarded the game 4 out of 5.

The reviewer sums things up thus[translated from Swedish]:

The controls are good and the environments feel natural, raw and uncouth and that’s where Killzone 2 succeeds compared to many other shooters; it feels more personal, it’s easier to identify with your character and to feel connected with your teammates. Co-op is noticeably missing, which is odd, and Killzone 2 isn’t doing much new with the genre but it is great enough to succeed without launching for the Christmas Sales Period.

Killzone 2 is released exclusively on PlayStation 3 at the end of February.

Good early signs for game.

Playstation Official Magazine U.S. gave it a 10/10 according to gamerankings.com .

I would buy a PS3 this month for this if it had mouse and keyboard support. But it doesn't, and FPS with dual analog scheme just sucks.

You know, a PS magazine giving a perfect score to one of the most anticipated games for the system doesn't actually say much. Especially that where i come from, these magazines tend to overlook flaws for such games.

If i lose access to this profile as well....I'm done with this site.....You've been warned!!.....whoever you are...

Happy Wii60 user. Me and my family are a perfect example of where hardcore meets casual and together mutate into something awesome.

I would imply that sentiment to all system mags or maybe I am wrong?

I must be one of those lowly console gamers who's fine with analog controls, but can't stand moving with the directional keys on a keyboard.

Yanamaster: That argument has been disproven many times. Playstation Magazine has given perfect scores to highly anticipated games, but they were always deserving. Unless you really believe Lair or Haze got great scores.

i actually thought this game was gonna get better reviews especially this early developers give super early copies they think r gonna give them a good review this may be a bad sign

Yes you are, hence why i didn't start with " the Nintendo Power mag on the  other hand.." rant.

I have played both console and pc games and i have to say the console controls would be my preference.
