You do not need a 2k PC to run Crysis on those settings.  A GTX260 is capable of running Crysis in 1900x1200 with Ultra high (0xAA) and running at a stable framerate.  This means you hardly need 2k computer to run the game, more like $800 for the required.  If you are including the monitor, you should then be including the $1500(minimum) for the HDTV to get the PS3 to produce those graphics.

$1500 minimum? WTF? Since when did 720p TVs start at $1500?!

And seriously ... whatever price you want to target with your PC build, you're still saying you need a GFX card that starts at $300 to even run this. That's not a relevant comparison at all.

The truth is if you are looking at running Crysis at a resolution similar to 720p, not something that is above 1080p, you could easily produce those graphics with a $150 video card.

You never said a TV is 1500 minimum, I was just using that as a point of reference for a video source for running a PS3.  There may be cheaper 720p displays out there, but I didn't really look at prices just went with memory from when I purchased my TV 3 months ago.

KZ2 doesn't run at 1080p. It's 720p or 1080i.

The point still stands.

You'd still need a 1080p TV to get the increase in graphics from the 1080i.

I doubt anyone makes a 1920x1080 tv without p support.

I believe an NVidia 7800 GTX, with 256MB, costs considerably less than $150. Then again, Crysis would be a slideshow on such a card.  Heck, its choppy even on the 8800 GTX that was recommended when it was released.  Thank the GPU gods for dual GPUs, if you want to play Crysis at a decent framerate.

@Groucho, in my area a 9800GT goes for $172 w $30 mail in rebate. This card should run Crysis at a playable framerate at a resolution similar to 720p.

You mean like my 46" Toshiba 1080i HDTV that I bought 5 years ago, before 1080p TVs became the new affordable HD standard?

Millions of people already have 1080i HDTVs that don't do 1080p.

I also have a 1080i TV...and not saying anyones wrong, but how do we know KZ2 doesn't run at 1080p?

I can't believe this argument is still going on. what all the people in here arguing for K2 fail to realize is that even the posted article (which was a terrible comparison anyways, both the crysis and K2 photos look like crap) says that Crysis looks better K2

It is unanimously agreed by any credible sources that Crysis looks better just get over it

Google some KZ2 box covers. Somebody had posted a scan of the GameStop preorder box cover here. Back of the box lists only 720p and 1080i as supported HD resolutions.

I would like to suggest the no video game box arts this gen have listed the resolution the game is rendered in, only the output resolutions supported by the console, so in that case I would think it very unlikely that the Killzone would not support 1080p, I just doubt it will be rendered at any of those resolutions.  My money is actually on a sub-720p resolution for finished product.
