Yeah it does, the start menu is a little different and the open window tabs in the task bar are way different plus its a lot leaner, but it has the same look as my friend's vista machine just slightly cleaner.
Edit: I'm running the following setup and it feels more like XP than vista in the resource department
CPU: P4 3Ghz
RAM: 1G DDR1 PC 3200
Nvidia GeForce 5200FX 128MB

They should have skipped Vista altogether, and just went to 7.
But doesn't matter now. Can't wait to get my hands on 7
It feels like I just got my PC yesterday, seriously//when you think about it I got my PC in year 2007. It's still running and I have had Vista for 2 years and Vista has been out for what 3 years or so.
@DMeisterJ
Your right, skipping Vista would of been the ideal thought//cause a lot of PC users complained about the programming and the updates a lot.
Hopefully Windows 7 isn't nothing like Vista//not saying Vista was bad but this OS had serious updating problems.
Here's a shot of the new taskbar

and the new start menu with an explorer window open.

Yes, my name is Edward, so don't tell me about how OMG I SEE YOUR FIRST NAME.

@Edwar....I meant Nicklebackro..lol
Bro, it looks more cleaned up, more so professional look than Vista//other than that it has some looks like Vista.
I'm used to XP and have only limited experience in vista on some of my friends computers and this feels more like XP (maybe slightly heavier) in terms of load times and memory footprint, plus the windows install is around 9Gigs so it wasn't as large of a HDD footprint as i was expecting.
Now it terms of interface it feels almost exactly (barring a few interface changes) like vista.
Hardware detection wasn't perfect but good enough, i needed Video, audio, and webcam drivers. But i know my computer and getting those from the manufacturers websites was fairly painless, and yes full vista driver compatibility. Only program that didn't run was Skype 3.8 and the alternative was the 4.0 beta which runs perfectly fine.

@Nickelbackro
Glad to know Windows 7 is somewhat like XP//I had a little experience with XP. I had had more experience with the past Windows. I never had a actual XP PC. So Vista would be a ideal choice for me but I did find XP to be faster and more quick than Vista.
Vista was just rushed in my opinion and I hope Windows 7 is more so convenient and more agile than Vista.
