Forums - Microsoft - Does your Avatar look like you?

I try to make my Mii and Avatar look like me, but they don't come that close. Pretty much the same goes for all my friends and family. Except one friend, his Mii looks exactly like him. It's creepy

Yeah, I just grew a beard in time for Christmas!

I'm pretty sure that the OP is talking about Xbox avatars.
Mine is pretty accurate minus my massive bulge. Perhaps I'll be able to download that option in the future.

Check my sig. It clearly looks exactly like me when I game. I have glasses, short hair//I wear those sort of shirts. It fits me perfectly! I was surprised how quickly my character turned out. My sisters and mom agree it looks exactly like me!!

I made mine look like the Bee Gees

Yet, today, America's leaders are reenacting every folly that brought these great powers [Russia, Germany, and Japan] to ruin -- from arrogance and hubris, to assertions of global hegemony, to imperial overstretch, to trumpeting new 'crusades,' to handing out war guarantees to regions and countries where Americans have never fought before. We are piling up the kind of commitments that produced the greatest disasters of the twentieth century.

Really? Thats how I always pictured you...

That's fascinating. With some exceptions the trend seems to be Miis look like their owners but most or at least half of Xbox Avatars do not.

I wonder if that is because of the limited facial options on Avatars. People can't really make one they can identify with and therefore choose something else that just looks cool.

Or am I totally wrong on this?

I guess Nintendo was right to focus more on facial and less on clothes, etc. Since I'm quite attached to my Mii and really all the Miis of my friends and family. And for the most part all the Miis are identifiable to people.
