Forums - General - Thousands of Israelis protest war

Around the Network

Too bad this couldn't be turned into millions. That type of public reaction sure would change the average Palestinian idea about Israeli mentality.

I'm sure it'll be in time.
I hope it's the same way in Palestine. more they protest against Hamas will help the situation as well.
Let's hope for the best.

Unfortunately, since the average Palestinian's standard of life is dramatically different than that of their Israeli counterpart, they are not forthcoming in protesting the only organization they feel does anything for them. Both militarily and civically.

whenever they tried to protest against hamas it ended badly when hamas security forces arrived.
of course....i doubt you will see any protesting in gaza atm, due to the conflict.

Yeah, this video just further proves that the Palestinian idea of democracy and the Israeli idea of democracy couldn't be any more different. In Israel, you can support or not support a position, and you are given that right. If Palestinians ever did march against a Hamas action, they'd be dragged into the street, beat, tortured, and then killed (if anyone is interested, I'll post a video of this happening, but I'd prefer that you just believe me, because it's a horrid sight to behold)

I want to see it.

I remember watching American contractors getting hanged - just horrible.

It's not that I like watching things like this, but hearing about horrible acts and seeing them are so different.

i remember seeing a bunch of videos like that when Hamas took control of Gaza.

Your points about Hamas not allowing dissension also would be squashed if Hamas no longer had the argument about Israeli brutality. Take away Hamas' reason to exist, Israeli actions in WB/Gaza, and you give the people, who don't like them and those who only like them for their actions against Israel, the ability to take back control.

You might be right but might be wrong.

I don't know much about the area except reading about it - never been there.

I have a funny feeling that the Palestinians will be better off with Israel in control than Hamas.
