As some of you might know Ottawa has been without public transit for about 30 days now, due to the ongoing transit strike, now this has caused nothing but grief, as people are finding it difficult to get to where they have to go.

I just started me 2nd semester and my school is like an hour and half walk away, and it just snowed like 25cm the last few days.

Now the transit workers voted on a new offer by the city tonight, and Im awaiting the results with anticipation.

Come on guys, do the right thing.

Well that sucks, and also proves that Winnipeg > Ottawa.

Yeah seriously, it's not their bosses' faults that these stupid workers got shitty jobs instead of starting their own shitty businesses and hiring their own slaves at shitty wages.

Ugh, that sucks man. I rely on transit every school day, as I bus and skytrain to school. There would be no way I could make it to school without transit.....it's an hour and a half, with bus/skytrain.

Has the school done anything since this strike started?

lol...seriously?  the unions are out of control.  lets look at the auto workers there...you think $80 an hour is a fair wage ?

We have shuttle going to and from the school but thats only this week, it ends tomorrow. Were not a big school, only 3000 students, we cant afford to have all these shuttles running around. not like Univeristy of Ottawa and Carleton U.

Ugh this really bums me out.

I don't suppose you have any family/friends near the school? Or maybe carpooling with someone? Because I can't see you walking 3 hrs a day and surviving.
