Forums - Sony - So do all PS3 controllers just work with the PC?

I needed a second controller, and didn't feel like paying 60 dollars... so i picked up one of those Peligan Afterglow controlelrs.

Which they aren't bad.  The home button and start and select buttons are a little annoying to get right... and the D-pad takes some getting used to... but overall solid...  I actually think I like the L2 and R2 button placement better.

And for the hell of it i just hooked up my controller to my computers USB port... and was shocked to find out it just worked, like a regular plug and play controller.

So if i have a bluetooth device in my computer will that just sync with the Dualshock as well?

I haven't tried bluetooth, but plugging in a DS3 or Sixaxis via the USB charge cable does allow you to use it with your PC. You just need to find the right drivers for it. The once Vista auto downloads don't actual work.

Huh, no kiddin, oddly the one on the Pelican does just auto work.

I'll have to look up those drivers.

Logitech Chillsteam PS3 works perfectly and automatically.
Unfortunatly Sisaxis/DS3 has no drivers for Vista 64 :(
