You just compared a game that the Dev team threw a party about because they were soooo happy about the sales (it was the best they had ever had) to a game that had alot of hype, was based off a successful Xbox game, and was "hyped" by the 360 fanboys as the game that was supposed to go up against MGS4.

Ok, then. think what you like, NG2 was like one of the few major flops (360 flops that is) this year (Too Human would be another)

And if its final sales numbers end up being much higher, I would think it would be the 9.99 deals they are giving to get rid of their unsold stock of this game. Cod4 is a different story completely, it is not getting bargin bin treatment, it is getting greatest hits type treatment, there is a difference you know.

It was hyped because of game quality. As you know quality doesnt always sell by looking at piles of great games on the wii that dont sell a million.

The game deivered some amazing hack and slash action and was an action fans wet dream.

You're basically ripping on NG which is gaming equivalent of death metal and saying it sucks cause it didn't sell as much as gaming aquivalent of Britney Spears(insert casual game here)

And Publishers/Developers don't post congradulatory press releases about sales when they are considered "flops" either.  But spin these specific retailer promotions however you like.

I feel sorry for NGII. It sold worse than Heavenly Sword.

It deserves more sales. Everyone who owns a 360, please buy it.

But that's not the point.  Ninja Gaiden is a kickass series, and I had hoped that it's name recognition would've lead to better sales (after all, the first game appeared in three different iterations on two different platforms).

Ninja Gaiden probably has the best combat of any hack n' slash out there (even though it's a bit too tough for me), and I think it deserves to sell more.

If you don't own it, go buy it, dammit!

And if you notice, Heavenly Sword is outselling Ninja Gaiden even today.  It was outselling NG by a 3:2 ratio over the holidays (Ninja Gaiden's first holiday season!), and a 5:2 ratio this past week.

It sold all right, no worries. Better than pretty much any other 3-D Ninja Gaiden, in any case. I think?

But yes I'll go out and buy it, for the sake of my own sanity. The gameplay is better and more polished than any other major action series (good thing God Hand isn't a series, though).
