Forums - PC - Is this a complete computer kit?

It's to run FreeOS's (Ubuntu or PCBSD), not gaming, so:

EDIT: It says a fan is not included, what kind do I need? Do I need thermal gel? Do I need to buy the cables for the HDD and such?

Are you asking as in, is all the hardware there? I didn't see a PSU in a quick skim of the product specifications.

Looks like it should work, though you'll want to get a cooling fan, like they say there.

I didn't know they even sold "build your own computer" kits. That's kind of neat.

Yes, is all the hardware there. It would seem it's missing a DVD-rom slot as well.

The case has a PSU built in. Most cases do, I think. Assuming you mean "power supply unit" and I'm not making an ass of myself.

If it's missing a DVD drive, Dogs Rule, you will probably need to pick one up. Make sure it's compatible with the.... thing!

I really don't know how to build computers.

Cables and shit that are required usually come in the box.

I'm also not seeing anything to do with ethernet ports, or stuff like that.

I'm going to use my wireless card from my other desktop, so ethernet is not required.

My case didn't come with a PSU built in. I couldn't see the sense in that, different hardware requires different powers of PSU (generally, the more powerful the better), how does the case manufacturer know what hardware you're whacking inside it?

They don't, I guess, but this one has a 450W built-in. Says so under the case description.

If someone can be a dear and point out a compatible fan at the most frugal price-quality ratio on Tigerdirect.ca, it would be appreciated as I know nothing in the way of fans.
