Forums - General - What is it with men and asking for directions?

I used to be like that but really you save allot of time instead of looking for your self. Ask someone about it instead.

Almost every man I know never asks for directions even if they know that they would save time. They tell me we are men we do not ask for directions women do that :P. lol is that something to be proud of?

So how are you as a man, do you ask or do you look for things yourself?

We are too proud to look weak by asking someone for help.

Men are meant to get it all right first time!

I hope my 360 doesn't RRoD

I have a GPS. It's heaven. Once you get one, you will wonder how you lived without it.

Yes but we only look silly when we don’t get it right so why continue?

I never ask for directions because I always know where I'm going.

i have no shame in asking another man for directions if i am lost, just few weeks ago, i had to go to unfamiliar area, i asked for directions 3 times to find were i was going.

I ask for directions but I only ask Google Maps. I memorize the directions before I leave and act like I knew them all along.

Of course, if I forget part of the directions, I get lost and DON'T ask for directions!

Directions?! Bah! I'd sooner shave my bikini area and wear women's undergarments before I'd ask for directions.

Because wearing women's undergarments feel so much better when your junk is shaven. It makes asking for directions that much more fun!

Back before my GPS though, I had to drive to Montreal for a job interview. On the island, I got lost 2-3 times despite having a mapquest print-out because of all their complicated highway interchanges. At one point when I was relatively close, but getting very close to the interview time, I asked a trucker for directions at a loading dock, since truckers would know the area. Anyways, since he had to wait anyways for his cargo to be ready, he said follow me and lead me to my destination. The kindness of strangers is sometimes incredible.

Yes even if you have a map you can get lost. It is ok to ask for directions. Once you have you will probably never meet that person again so there shouldn’t be a worry about people thinking less of you as a man. Yes strangers are vary kind, actually I have never had a bad experience when it come to asking for directions.

Yes having a GPS is great!

Now for women they just ask and they do not care if people think that they did not do it right from the start. Really there is allot we men should learn from women.
