Forums - Gaming - Serious question for da Wii h8ers

Imagine the year is 2011.

You drive home from work in your 2012 Honda Accord. I know it's only 2011, but the 2012 models are already out.

You turn on your HOLO-TV and the newscaster, beamed into your living room states, "The Xbox 720 and Sony PS4 were announced at the Cannes Game Festival today. Both feature motion controls, small size, minimal graphic upgrades, and come packed with a collection of fun games anyone can play. They will both compete at retail for $199"

What is your initial reaction?

Why am I driving a brand new car, and who the hell switched out my TV?

You wrecked your current car and insurance paid you a ton of $$$, part of which you spent on a brand new holo-tv, the rest you spent on an Accord.  Both were good purchases, especially the 2012 Accord which will be remembered as one of the best cars in history and will replace the '57 Chevy as the definitive collectors vehicle.  Congrats.

So I am involved in some insurance scam? Good to know, good to know. Is the local mafia in on this? Seems like they would have to be. I guess thats why the holo-tv fell off a truck. Do I have money left over from this insurance scam? Or am I trying to justify a new purchase?

The holo-TV was sold to you by the car "dealer", who also tried to sell you some guns with the serial numbers sanded off. You have exactly $199 left over.

i bet they'll feel hypocritical. The same way PS3 fans feel now because they spent the entire PS2 generation saying that graphics don't matter.

"Pier was a chef, a gifted and respected chef who made millions selling his dishes to the residents of New York City and Boston, he even had a famous jingle playing in those cities that everyone knew by heart. He also had a restaurant in Los Angeles, but not expecting LA to have such a massive population he only used his name on that restaurant and left it to his least capable and cheapest chefs. While his New York restaurant sold kobe beef for $100 and his Boston restaurant sold lobster for $50, his LA restaurant sold cheap hotdogs for $30. Initially these hot dogs sold fairly well because residents of los angeles were starving for good food and hoped that the famous name would denote a high quality, but most were disappointed with what they ate. Seeing the success of his cheap hot dogs in LA, Pier thought "why bother giving Los Angeles quality meats when I can oversell them on cheap hotdogs forever, and since I don't care about the product anyways, why bother advertising them? So Pier continued to only sell cheap hotdogs in LA and was surprised to see that they no longer sold. Pier's conclusion? Residents of Los Angeles don't like food."

"The so-called "hardcore" gamer is a marketing brainwashed, innovation shunting, self-righteous idiot who pays videogame makers far too much money than what is delivered."

Did Nintendo announce their new system?

i do want to see this answered honestly too.

Oh well then I would probably buy the one that had the most games that seemed like I would enjoy.
