When were you growing up did you watch programs like Space Giants (Ambassador Magma), Spectreman, and Ultraman on tv, and if so what channel did you watch them on, did they cause you to have an affinity for Japanese culture?
When I was growing up, I remember that I couldn't wait to get home from school each day to watch Spectreman and then after it had had its series run Space Giants on Superstation Channel 17 WTBS from Atlanta in the early eighties (They did show Ultraman but I never developed as much of an affection for it as I did Space Giants and Spectreman because they did come on in the afternoons after school and Ultraman had a you can catch it if you accidently wake up way to early on a Saturday morning thing going on) and I don't think I've ever enjoyed watching any other tv programs as much as I enjoyed those when I originally saw them. I think watching those shows caused me to have a deep affection for Japanese culture as a whole. Did you also watch these shows when you were a child? I've learned in recent years that they appeared on more than one Superstation during the late seventies and early eighties
