I've been playing Bioshock today, and I must say that it far exceeds any expectations that I had for the game and has solidly made my list of my favorite games of all time due to its epic first person gameplay.  But it has me wondering if there are any other 1st person shooters that provide as epic a one player experience as does Bioshock and what 1st person shooter vgchartz members thinks provides the most epic one player adventure or experience.

i advise you to get all three later this year when they are re released for Wii.

Bioshock and Crysis.

I gotta say though Resistance 2 isn't far behind those two.

Just for one player? That's tough. Gears 1/2 have their moments though they are 3rd Person. COD4 is awesome but is very short. Bioshock is tough to beat as it is one of my all-time favs. Perhaps Killzone 2 will be epic.

i would say res2, call of duty 4 and dead space as my top three

I have said this before. Metroid Prime gives you such a feeling of solitude and aloneness that beating the game generates the greatest sense of accomplishment. Truly epic.

CoD4 single player reignited my need for FPS's, i played it too many times to say.
