Circuit City Stores Inc. this week began holding a new game sale for Sony Corp.'s Playstation 3, Microsoft Corp.'s Xbox 360 and Nintendo Co.'s Wii that discounts titles below $15.

Titles price cut to $14.99 this week include Star Wars: The Complete Saga (Xbox 360), Sonic the Hedgehog (Xbox 360), The Orange Box (PS3), Samba de Amigo (Wii), and Game Party (Wii).

The retailer last week discounted titles to $9.96 in a game clearance sale.

NPD Group Inc. in Dec. reported that the Wii sold two million units in Nov. U.S. sales to rank as the No. 1 game hardware for the month.

The PS3 sold 378,071 units in Nov.

Sony in Dec. launched Home, an online universe that allows PS3 owners to mingle and play games together.

Sony in Nov. released the 160GB PS3 SKU. The bundle includes a new 160GB PS3, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, PAIN downloadable game voucher, and a Dualshock 3 controller for $499.

Microsoft in Dec. said that sales for the Xbox 360 more than doubled in the month of Nov.

Additionally, Gears of War 2 ranked as the top-selling title for the month moving 1.6 million units.

Microsoft on Nov. 19 launched the New Xbox Experience, a dashboard overhaul that adds new channels and community services to Xbox Live.

Retailers this month began aggressive video game discounts to spur holiday sales.

Target Corp. stores this month price cut select game titles to under $40.

Amazon.com is currently holding a new accessories sale for PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii.
