I would like to know how is this research done.
1) Are they asking to people who have the PS2, Wii and 360?
2) or just ramdom people who justa have one videogame machine or the other?

If the first case is the way things are done, then I am impressed, because it will mean the users with options give more hours of gameplay to the Ps2.

If it it done like the second case describes, the I am not surprised, after all, how many PS2 were sold? 100 millions?

     Well, I think that this report from Nielsen indicates that the PS2 is still considered by most gamers to be the most worthwhile system to play due to the quality of its game library and that accounts for the fact that it is played almost two times more than any other system including the supposably ultra popular Wii with its new demographic and the hardcore gaming beast the 360.

 

     What do you guys think these Nielsen results indicate?

Does this mean you think people play the PS2 because it has games with higher metacritic scores? You forget that Nintendo reveals average playtime on the Nintendo Channel, and it shows how often a game is played has little correlation with metacritic scores. ps2 = greatest system of all time. it will always be played more than any other console! just playing... but it truly is one of the best and is not going down without a fight.
