Yeah, they showed a flopping sequence during the intermission, so I managed to catch that, but didn't see what Hedman did. So he drilled someone during a scrum?

I'm pretty sure it was him, after one of our players tripped their goalie, he grabbed the guy and was doing some gay head squeeze thing, then punched him on top of the head.

And was what with that Swedish player biting the Canada guy's hand?

BTW the fans were booing Hedman and Markstrom.

Hedmen grabbed Esposito by the face after he accidentally hit Markstrom but it was all good since Esposito scored and few seconds later!! In your face Hedman!

And Markstrom was just being a baby, he kept on trying to trip guys and faking everything, did anybody see his face at the end, he won a shit load of awards and still he never smiled once.

@Aj
Yeah I noticed that too, you couldn't tell though by the camera angle if he had bit him or not.

I thought so, they finally got a good angle at the end. Pierre thought so too, but that guy is a lunatic, so that doesn't help.

Biting a player..........wtf? I don't understand what the point of that would have been. I mean, I can understand a slash, or a spear or whatever, but biting?

ya it was an ugly game

the USA and USSR games were much better

sorry Russia now.

Pierre McGuire is so annoying.
I strongly dislike him.

Great game though. Tokarski was exceptionally solid. =D

"The gold medal game on TSN is the most-watched program ever on a Canadian specialty channel and is also the most-watched program overall across all Canadian television this broadcast season. Audience levels for the game peaked at 4.7 million viewers at 9:58pm et, as Team Canada celebrated its victory in Ottawa."

"The game was watched in whole or in part by 9.3 million Canadians, or nearly 30% of the country's population."

Wow. I guess those two great games before really brought in an audience.

Minnesota Wild could man handle every Canadian pro hockey player.

That's great, but there might be a conflict of interest, considering that over half of the Minnesota Wild roster is made up of Canadians =)
