jjseth, neither 2K, nor EA, can take time with those games. Sports games are timed to release at the start of their seasons, as those are the ideal times for sales.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

I have read that NO PS2 games run at 60FPS.

And I have found that reducing ammount of crap (FIFA/IRL/NASCAR) from the ticker at the bottom gets rid of a lot of the menu sluggishness in the PS3 version. it makes an even bigger impact when playing online and in the chat rooms.

"IGN said the same thing. I mean if you have both systems it is a no brainer to get the 360 version but if you only have a ps3 what else can you do?"

Here's what you can do ...sell the ps3 and get a 360 and madden 08

HAHAHAHA jk fanboys.

The 360 is marketed to an audience of 10 million (>6 US) the PS3 is being marketed to 4 million (

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

I remember at the beginning of the generation when every denied the PS3 having any framerate issues.

Also

1UP being used as a credible source for the Win! (Sarcasm) Lol

I also like how the automatic defense is, "Well, it's still better than the Wii version", like that was ever the issue.

"That's it, not hardware. 360 has a user base. Why invest millions more dollars to make a game for PS3 when there are very few able to buy it."

So what your saying is EA didn't make Madden 08 on PS3 good cause no one has a ps3?

EA doesn't want ps3 to succeed or what?

EA doesn't want the PS3 to fail, but it damn well sure isn't going to invest nearly as much into a console with only 4 million players as a console with over 10 million players. It's common sense.

Ok....I started off the evening buying the 360 version. The game is so full of bugs it isn't even funny... Even though it's 60 fps it does get hammered with slowdowns, and occassional momentary lockups. After about 30 minutes I had enough and went back to the store and told them I got the wrong version and needed it for the ps3 not the 360.

Honestly, it plays about identical to the 360 from what I experienced. The game should not have been released in this state for any of the next gen systems and should have spent a few more months in development to make it better.

Oh, and the clincher as to why I took back the 360 version..... The online was unplayable to me... attempted 4 games. The first 3 either myself or the other player were unable to pick any sort of play and we friendly quit right away..... The last one was full of slowdowns and freezing and honestly was unbearable to play. I will say that it seems that the PS3 has the 360 beat in online gameplay that I've seen as I was actually able to complete a full game online without any problems out of the ordinary for this game. (Yea, fumblitis and massive interceptions were thrown).

ok cklmb, what I meant what that with the PS3's supposed better potential for graphics, why would the 360 version end up being better? I realize that one has 60fps and one has 30fps, but why the differential?

because the game was made for the 360 and then ported to the PS3 which seems to be the case for 99% of multiplatforms lately

Actually it's not a port, both are ground up versions.  The difficulty was just that EA didn't allocate enough time and money to work on the Cell get it up to code.  Had they postponed it a month or so i bet it'd run better.  Though it would almost certainly sell worse.  Therefore not worth it budget wise.
