Yeah it does...I guess that's less impressive but it's still a feature of the game - most games don't utilise it to the same degree with the forge editor and vehicle explosions etc.

Re: Pacman; were the differences that vast? I'm sure with google you can scrounge scraps of evidence to refute anything but for the most part the sentiment applies to most games.

Metacritic > The opinion of one average person when talking about the "best" of anything. It doesn't predict what one person will like but for the Xbox 360/PS3 there is a strong link between high metacritic scores and high sales.

Not per se, Metacritic is an average of mostly US/UK press ratings. We also know gaming websites are infested by fanboys and also mainstream US press is often very unprofessional, inaccurate and incomplete.

The opinion of a single professional opinion may be more accurate than an average like that. IMO it merely provides a rough indication of a game being pretty good or not if you like the gerne. IMO there are too many factors involved for going into this any deeper than that.
