Satchell says there are currently more than 7.1 million Xbox Live users and, more surprisingly, those users have conducted more than 45 million downloads on Xbox 360.
Additionally, they're finding the attach rate for Xbox Live Arcade titles is more than 6-7 per user - and that number has doubled in the last four months. By the end of the year, Microsoft expects there to be over a hundred titles on the service; right now there are 77.

These Microsoft numbers never make sense to me, there is so much spinning going on.
7.1 million XBL "users": is that Gold or Gold + Silver? Currently active users only?
45 million "downloads on Xbox 360": Is that 45 million Arcade downloads? Of full Arcade games (as opposed to free demo versions)?
6-7 per user attach rate for Xbox Live Arcade titles: Does "per user" include all 7.1 million XBL users?
Some quick math:
45 million downloads / 7.1 million users = 6.338 Arcade titles per user. So that would fall into the 6-7 attach rate.
If that's actually the case, one would think Microsoft would be clearer about it.
We don't provide the 'easy to program for' console that they [developers] want, because 'easy to program for' means that anybody will be able to take advantage of pretty much what the hardware can do, so the question is what do you do for the rest of the nine and half years? It's a learning process. - SCEI president Kaz Hirai
It's a virus where you buy it and you play it with your friends and they're like, "Oh my God that's so cool, I'm gonna go buy it." So you stop playing it after two months, but they buy it and they stop playing it after two months but they've showed it to someone else who then go out and buy it and so on. Everyone I know bought one and nobody turns it on. - Epic Games president Mike Capps
We have a real culture of thrift. The goal that I had in bringing a lot of the packaged goods folks into Activision about 10 years ago was to take all the fun out of making video games. - Activision CEO Bobby Kotick
