Forums - Microsoft - Lips was a big hit at my party

Lips was a big hit at my New Year party where there were plenty of alcohols to go around.

The good -

- wireless mics plus cool flashing light = win (especially to the intoxicated)

- easy to sing, even if you suck at singing like me.  People complain about how easy the game score is missing the point of this "game"

- singing interface (not the game interface) where lyrics flow are easy to follow.

- motion-sensor is also a nice addition.

- add your own music work effortlessly with the iPod

The bad -

- mics were a little confusing at first to sync up as they don't sync like 360 controllers.

- MS should really launch this with more DLC.  This was my wife biggest complain that there were just not enough songs to choose from.  (Though what offer was very good selection).

- the lack of lyrics or at least pitch bar for you own music really confuse people

- the basic interface is not as intuitive.  (especially when you are drunk) and since this game is gear for the causual they really should have make the interface more easier to use.  (what's there is not bad but it could be better).

Overall it's a fun as party / casual games for Xbox 360.

I am hoping the game is semi-successful and warrant improve version next year like Scene it! and bigger DLC selection.  MS has Zune, I don't understand why they dont make the two intergrate better.   Buy just song on Zune for $.99 or get Lips version for extra $.99 and get lyrics and video , is a win-win.  MS really need to work on their Live anywhere initiative more...

Yeah it's a very fun game. Bought it for my sister in law, and she loves it

IT is in my opinion the best music yet. The fact I can sing any of the songs I actually like (rock/metal) is the best thing ever. You all know that Children of Bodom would never be released as a DLC. Since it's my fave band it's pure win that I can use my MP3 player.

My iPod consist mostly of U2 music ... and their song are not exactly make for Karaoke. I guess I need to add my wife's music to my iPod.

My kids had a ball with it at Xmas.
I never got so many achievements as quickly lol.

I love singing along with U2!  Though Bono is often a bit high for my range.

This and You're in the Movies have become the most played at my house when family and kids are over. Which is like every weekend. The rest of the time my 360 is on Netflix almost 24/7

Xbone... the new "N" word   Apparently I troll MS now | Evidence | Evidence

Don't talk to me about Lips! I found it at Morrisons for £35 and promptly paid for it, only to be told by the customer service desk 'Sorry we seem to have run out'. Bastards. And only last week Game ran out of Lost Planet: Colonies edition just as I tried to pay £10 for it. I am having shit luck at the moment.

Kept the kids busy all night long on new years eve and bonus I got a truck load of gamer points. Could not stretch to the in the Movies but that will be a purchase shortly.
