Atlanta International Airport: Bestbuy's vending machine takes care of your DS cravings.

Digital cam with memory cards too...

Saw this on digg earlier. Fairly badass, but it will probably be overpriced and stocked with bad, non-diverse games.

Crusty VGchartz old timer who sporadically returns & posts. Let's debate nebulous shit and expand our perpectives. Or whatever.

Wow if that is real then that is quite possibly the greatest idea ever!

Well, those 5 DS games aren't shoddy at least.

That is true, though I haven't played Lego Batman for DS.
But imagine if it was stocked with World Ends With You, Phoenix Wright, Chrono Trigger, etc....

I remember that in the late 1990s, you would not have needed such a vending machine in the Pittsburgh airport. There was an EB in the Air Mall. (Of course, with post-9/11 security, you can't get to that part of the airport now unless you are flying out so many of the stores have since closed -- including that EB).

I am Mario.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

This is a great idea. Imagine the impulse one can feel to buy a handheld for a long trip.

I'm guessing those all cost more than 75 cents...

@ opening post: There was already a topic on this =/
@ draven26: It IS real
@ words of wisdom: We could always hope for a machine malfunction ;)

They have electronics stores in many airports (O'Hare and SeaTac both do to my knowledge). I bought DQIV on my way from O'Hare to SeaTac, and got FFIII on my way back from SeaTac to O'Hare.

Man, the DS turns an otherwise horrendous 4hr flight from Chicago to Seattle into gaming bliss :) My first few flights were without a handheld, and I was about ready to go insane, which is why I got a DS. Now, I look forward to flying cross-country for work.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
