nah, it lived up to the hype, easily one of the best games on the wii

End of 2009 Predictions (made Jan 1, 2009): My predictions were pretty accurate, the 360 was over and the Wii was just under.

Wii: 65 mil (yea I'm crazy) 360: 35 mil (its getting there) PS3: 30 mil (the slim better do well)

End of 2010 Predictions (made Jan 7, 2010):

Wii: 81 mil  360: 47 mil PS3: 45 mil

I'd say it was pretty underrated actually. Was the best in the series in my opinion yet people really didn't throw it off as that. Oh well I suppose.

I wouldn't say its overrated but that's just me. I always thought Dead or Alive series was the most overrated. I mean aside from the girls in the game I have no other reason to play it.

 I agree with the Dead or Alive statement actually.  If you wanna rank Smash with those kinds of fighting games, I'd say:

1. Tekken

2. Smash (Melee specifically)

3.  Soul Cal, etc....

Only 2 fighting games on gamerankings score above smash bros brawl, Soul calibur and Tekken 3. I think they are better fighting games than smash bros brawl, but brawl is the better game overall due to its massive content.

I don't think SSBB is overrated, but I don't think is a fighting game neither, I mean, games like Smash Bros. or Power Stone are more party games than fighting games for me...
