Forums - General - Israel kills top hamas leader with 2000 pound bomb

Comrade - You have to take that statement entirely in the context of what Jesus was saying - He was giving a dissertation on the fact that Christianity would not be accepted by others.

I understand where you are going, but if J.C. really was God as the New Testament and Christianity claims, then he was the same God who often told the Israelites to invade nations and kill every man, woman, and child.

I am not saying that J.C. was God, as I am not a Christian, I am simply saying that the New Testament paints him as God (or one of the three parts of the trinity for people with trinitarian beliefs), and therefore the words of J.C. go beyond the New Testament and would therefore also encompass that which is attributed to God in the so-called Old Testament.

Well. That's good news for the Fatah.

It's funny.  I can see the PNA and Israel working together before i could see Hamas and the PNA working together.

Update: 11 of his children were killed.

2000 pounds for a bomb? Cheap at half the price. I thought they cost a small fortune.

Sadly a complete destruction of Gaza might be the only option for a lasting peace, the people of that region openly and democratically voted in a terrorist organization to serve as their government.

Nations such as this and Nazi Germany must be destroyed and rebuilt from the ashes, and sadly they have given Israel no choice due to the fact that they as a people will not cease violence. Sometimes a mass number of people have to die to create a peace that cannot be sustained through normal measures such as truces and i weep for times such as this but I don't see an alternative.

You could also turn this around. We could hypothosize that it would be smart to return to the situation now 60 years ago when Israel was formed. Why don't the Israeli's leave their lands alltogether and start reliving like they did for centuries: amongst different races and people in small conclaves? It wasn't ideal but with a lot more tolerance around the globe and the need for wealthy settlers they should be welcome everywhere!

Then the Palestinians, Egyptians and Syrians can reclaim the ground they lost 60 years ago. Then, we only have to hope that with the "sting" removed from the conflict, Hamas ceases to be as it is in it's current form.

The leadership of the PA, especially President Abbas, has not shown any solidarity with Hamas. However, certain members of Fatah-including some senior members-are noticably upset with Abbas and PA leadership. This is a rather precarious position for the PA leadership.
