So for Christmas I received GHWT – bundle and Rock Band 2 – game. I have to say after playing the 2 games for the better part of the weekend I really liked RB2 better. The online play is surprisingly smooth. The amount of tracks on this game is amazing.

The two games do have a few of the same songs. I love the fact that the GH instruments would work for RB2, I didn’t want to have to find a place in my house to put two different drum sets and everything like that.

If you have played both of these games which one do you like better and why.

Rock Band 2 simply because of the better tour mode. The customization is better too, IMO.

Ignoring the actual game, from what I heard / seen, the instruments (especially drums) are better from GH WT, but... would like to hear others confirm or deny that...

I think the instruments are better for GHWT but you can also use them on RB2 so its win/win.

I thought GH:WT Drums weren't compatible w/ RB2 on Wii...

So the GH: WT guitar does work for RB2? This is important for me to know.

Not for the first RB, but for RB 2 they are.  (At least that is my understanding)

Oh, GHWT Drums are compatible with RB2, but neither set of RB drums are compatible with GHWT.

Yes to clear this up I do have both the games I can tell you for sure. GHWT drums, mic, and guitars work for RB2. This is for the Wii version only. I am not sure about the other systems. The instruments for GHWT work just the same on the RB2.
