As an example. If the market is made up of

90 casual males
9 hardcore males
1 hardcore female

Then

Women were found to be the most dedicated players is true
but
The most dedicated players were found to be females is false

This is a pretty dumb statement if you ask me. So you replace sitting in front of the television to sitting in front of the computer screen and that makes it healthier??

All of the hot women Avatars didn't tip you off?  It's not really guys.  You truely are talking to models who love to game.

This makes a mockery of us male gamers! The women are taking over!

In the UK, hardcore online gamers and hardcore gamers in general are nearly always social misfits. They tend to live with their parents, are obsessed with gaming, have no girlfriend, are fat/spotty and take part in no sports at all. I imagine it's very similar in the US.
