Kill zone 2 best looking game to ever grace a console:

The thing is: I know that Uncharted 2 and God of War 3 will look even better so by the end of 2009 the three best looking console games of all time will be PS3 exclusives? Wow... Good job Sony but you still need a price cut... But maybe you can wait a little longer then expected.

Yes it's a shame the Dreamcasts CD drive could not compete with DVD drive based systems.

Pshaw, that's not the best-looking console game ever.  It tries too hard at looking realistic.  Visuals like this are far more creative and look quite a bit better:

Sky Render - Sanity is for the weak.

Maybe the best looking technically, but not the best looking.

A Wii game with a good art style (Metroid Prime 3, Mario, Zelda). In My opinion. look better than Killzone 2. Not better technically, just better. They are more pleasing to look at and have me saying "wow that looks great!" even though it's technically inferior.

The power of art.

Bah. Cel shading has come a long way since then.

-jumps on bandwagon-

Pixel Art can be fun.

Heh. Of those counter-examples to Okami, only No More Heroes really does cel shading in a unique style. The rest just mimic the same sorts of cel shading use we've seen since as far back as Willy Beamish on PC (albeit in 3D instead of 2D). Although I will admit that Prince of Persia's use is a bit closer to off-the-beaten-track than the cartoonish look of Wind Waker or the Anime look of Tales games.
