Not true as far as I know, but correct me if it exists.

The thread asking if you have Xbox Live had me thinking it would be a good way for Microsoft to get more XBOX360s in homes.

Companies give free mobile phones out with 12 month+ contracts and sometimes you even get a console/laptop/tv thrown in with the contract so why not this option for the Xbox360?

Do the math on this and then come back. How does the business model work here? They would have to raise the price of XBL membership to what amount per month for these people to make the money back?

Is this a MS deal or a Samsung deal?

For example: A free XBox360 (£160) and 1 year of free Xbox live (£40) with a 24 month Broadband subscription @ £30 per month. (total cost £720)

Right now in the UK they give away a free laptop with a mobile broadband subscription so why not an Xbox360 with home broadband.

There was a big rumor that when IPTV was getting big...That the X360 would stream IPTV and various IPTV providers would throw in a free 360 with each yearly/2-year subscription.

Unfortunately, I haven't heard much from that, but it's still a plausible idea. I think Netflix could do such a deal - Offer a free Arcade with a 2 year comittment to the service, or something of that nature.
