Since I got my 360 I have been outputting 5.1 audio to my AV Receiver via HDMI. However, just got back from a 2 week holiday yesterday, turned on my 360 and Receiver and now find that the Receiver is no longer showing digital 5.1 signal but rather analog 2 channel audio. I have checked the 360 Dashboard settings to make sure it is set to 5.1 so that is not the solution.
I think I might have read somewhere that the new Xbox Experience was causing HDMI 5.1 audio issues but not sure if I am recollecting correctly. I also used the 360 for at least a week after the new Xbox Experience without any issues. Does anyone have any idea what the problem is and more importantly the solution?
