All 5 of those vids are a single guy playing both ships at once. The last one he has also filmed his hands to show you what he does. There are some other impressive videos on that site too, so be sure to look around. |
I have seen those before, my friend has shown them to me (He is also a Shmup fanatic), the guy is absolutely ballbreaking crazy, I cannot fathom how the man could do that, the memorization process would have been just so painful.
Anyways, I stand by my original opinion, Ikaruga is about as hard as video game and Shmup can get.

Chaos Legion on Sieg Must Surrender Mode... My god So many knights and creatures dealing 175% Regular damage and auto fall.
Hardest god damn game i've ever played.

I never found Ikaruga to be all that difficult, especially when compared to other Dreamcast shoot 'em ups like Radilgy and Under Defeat.
Ninja Gaiden Trilogy for the NES - You actually got hit midair from projectiles coming from offscreen and you only had a nanosecond to react xD
Megaman 2 for the NES - Same here, with the added bonus that if, IF you could make a jump, you would actually land on top of an enemy that would knock you down of the platform XDDD ahhh the good days of screaming at the tv
