Touhou is NOTHING compared to Ikaruga. I've played (and loved) every iteration from 1 to 10.5 and none of them even on the hardest difficulty touch the hair pulling expirience that is Ikaruga.

Mega Man games. Most were extremely hard. MM 9 is frustrating to say the least.

The last one was world at war on the hardest mode!

Seriously, you need to grind after each level in the practice towers... for hours each time.

It's so ridiculious, your ALWAYS outnumbered AND outleveled if you don't AND your oppoents are hard to lure... unless they come in groups.

Ugh lol there have been some games that have made me pissed lol lets see the ones I can think of right now would be

run and gun?: Contra: Shattered Soldier, especially single player I had a hell of a time with this I made it a point to play with a friend...can't even remember if we passed it or not I have a save file but not the game anymore haha...i'll have to find it 2nd hand somehow

Action: Shinobi... things were going fine until I got to a point where I couldn't make a jump and it was so frustrating as hell..I also can't remember if i passed it..doubt it but I'm tempted to give it a go as I still do have it

shooter: Mars Matrix...oh god...lol..

(Action) RPG - Brave Fencer Musashi - for the most part it wasn't difficult it was only on the last castle for me...I can't remember how many times I went through the damm thing only to die and have to go through all of it again....when I finally reached the boss and died I gave up in frustration lol..another game I'll have to try to finish!! at least I still have the game

hmm, Contra 4. I lost all my super gamer skills when I went to college and got a job. I can't even beat Contra any more without having 30 lives.

Other than that, I'm good.

Bleh, your only handicap in Ikaruga is the GC controller.  Touhou > Ikaruga.

Megaman 9 is the only recent game where I really thought OMg this is to hard!!!
