i guess the achievement factor plays a bigger role than everybody thinks.

Secondhanded X360 games are cheaper for me that's why my X360 has a higher attach rate than my PS3 and Wii.

On your fifth xbox? I don't understand, do you throw it about, how can someone go though 5 Xboxs and still keep buying. You must be the unluckish xbox owner ever.
PC gaming rules.....
CHEEVO'S BABY!!
I like building a collection up, I find it hard to understand how any 360 owner owns less than the attach rate of 8 or w/e it is now.

Mmm I call BS. I have had 2 in the space of 30 months and both have been fine. FIVE times though .... yeah BS.

Is that really that important of a factor? I don't have numbers but did the Genesis, Saturn and Dreamcast have great attach rates in comparison to competition? They were also on the market first and something is telling me that probably none of those had better attach rates. I could be wrong though.

well that and the price of the ps3 is the reason the xbox has done "so well" for itself.

i hope you don't talk like that in real life.
Xbox 360 has been out a year longer.
So the average console has been in the users hands roughly 6 months longer than the competition.
Games sell on average at the rate of one game per console every 2 months.
So the attach rate for Xbox 360 should be three bigger than the other two consoles in US. Wii should be slightly bigger than PS3 worldwide because of delayed EU launch for PS3.
So, unless the attach rate is lots more than 3+(PS3 or Wii) it isn't awesome at all.

What's your reasoning behind PS3's price being a factor?
