Odd question, I know. But this is what I've been wondering, do you think there's a sci-fi epic trilogy that you could say is equivalent to the movie universe's Star Wars series?
Here are some possibilities (Take note these are the ones I thought of off the top of my head, I may have forgotten something):
Xenosaga- Lengthy cutscenes and philosophy blend into an epic story.
Super Star Wars series- ... ...
Halo series- It's sci-fi, though I don't know if you could say the trilogy as a whole is equally as grand as Star Wars. I can't say for myself since I've only played the first.
And some could be/ could have been:
Advent series- If people had bought Advent Rising, we'd probably know by now.
Mass Effect series- If the second and third ones turn out to be as good if not better than the first, might be our answer.
BTW: Please stay on topic. I don't want to turn this into a thread about judging the quality of said trilogy we're comparing.
