I watched the first 2 seasons avidly, but then Sky bought the rights to it, I tried to keep up online but just gave up when no questions were answered after like 30 hours worth of episodes.

I hate Lost, I really think it's one of the stupidiest show ever. The first season was great, the others really suck. It's like they don't know where to and how to drive their story. BTW, I love:

- 24
- 30 Rocks
- HIMYM
- many others :p

Did you read the OP or just the first sentance?

I'm pretty much with you on this...

I loved the first season, and the second one was amuzing, and then by the third it really felt too fake to get in to any futher.  I was a big Smallville fan too over the first 4 seasons, and by the 5th, they just messed the storyline up too badly.

My favorite dramas in this decade were Rome, The Sopranos, and the still running The Tudors.  The storylines never get old to me for some reason.

I loved it when it first came out. Watching it religously. I missed an episode and then stopped watching cause once you stop, you will be lost in the storyline.

But a few weeks ago, when I figured out that sites other than Hulu and nbc.com(for heroes) might have TV shows online, I went investigating. 14 episodes in the 3rd season, and the entire 4th season later in 4 or so days, and I am caught up :D

I was hooked until I started watching season 4. That was the end for me, I stopped. It was no longer interesting for me.

I've seen them all. To me Season 4 was better than 3 or 2. Season 1 is still the best. I'm psyched that Lost and Battlestar Galactica both start soon.

Jeremy Bentham was an English jurist, philosopher, and legal and social reformer. He was the brother of Samuel Bentham. He was a political radical, and a leading theorist in Anglo-American philosophy of law. He is best known for his advocacy of utilitarianism, for the concept of animal rights, and his opposition to the idea of natural rights, with his oft-quoted statement that the idea of such rights is "nonsense upon stilts."[3] He also influenced the development of welfarism.[

Bentham's position included arguments in favour of individual and economic freedom, the separation of church and state, freedom of expression, equal rights for women, the end of slavery, the abolition of physical punishment (including that of children), the right to divorce, free trade, usury, and the decriminalization of homosexual acts. He also made two distinct attempts during his life to critique the death penalty.

Panopticon blueprint by Jeremy Bentham, 1791

The Panopticon is a type of prison building designed by English philosopher and social theorist Jeremy Bentham in 1785. The concept of the design is to allow an observer to observe (-opticon) all (pan-) prisoners without the prisoners being able to tell whether they are being watched, thereby conveying what one architect has called the "sentiment of an invisible omniscience."[

Bentham himself described the Panopticon as "a new mode of obtaining power of mind over mind, in a quantity hitherto without example."

After reading this i don't believe John Locke is dead at all. He is the observer, just as the others were observers last season, watching over the oceanic 6. More importantly it seems as though death is irrelevent on the island, claire, boone, etc. Many are dead or assumed to be and it doesn't matter anyway. They still control the actions of the survivors.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.
