ps2 managed to fix the problem, in the second year.

non existant by the third (the year i got my ps2 and still working now).

and the grow was done because of the price cut a 199$ arcade model, the ps2 managed to maintain a price for years.

360 will reach the ps2 price by 2010 if continue like this and even maybe cheaper.

well i read an article( i dont remember were ) that said that ms was not going to cut the price of the 360 for a longgg time.

There will always be articles that claim a company will or will not reduce the price of a console, but that doesn't really relate to whether a company will or will not reduce the price of the console ...

Microsoft is (probably) in a pretty good position to reduce the price of the XBox 360 further, although I'm not too sure I would expect any major price reductions. Personally, I would expect them to reduce the Arcade to $179 and the Premium to $250 in 2009, and then to reduce the Arcade to $149 and the Premium to $199 in 2010.

Things don`t look good for Sony...2009 will be a good year for both the 360 and ps3,so...good for us,i think :)

The article said , "slash its fiscal 2001 profit forecast in half, from more than $80 million to $42.4 million today."

Note the word "profit"? The difference between this article and the current situation is that SCE was still making a profit, not building up $3.3 billion in losses.
