I have seen more threads lately with peole calling for the end of the Xbox 360 and bashing it and whatnot... It kinda reminds me of the aftermath of the June NDP... You know the month Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots was supposed to kill the Xbox 360 and send the ps3 console into the mainstream. I remember it was really bad then too.

The better the Xbox 360 does the more meltdowns then incur It is very entertaining.

GameTrailers is well known for it's controversial support of the Xbox 360. In 2008, it gave Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots's story a 8.7/10, though it gave Halo 3's story a 9.6/10. The site also gave Gears of War 2 the title of Game of the Year Best Graphics, beating Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, LittleBigPlanet, Prince of Persia, and Far Cry 2, with Crysis Warhead not even nominated. A staff member also stated that the PlayStation 3 is outdated and that the Xbox 360 has better content than the PS3.[4]

I agree with you regarding the June NPD though. I was here defending the 360 and getting branded for it. I have an entire file full of links regarding "360 is dead" and "Your an idiot if you think the 360 will outsell the PS3 WW" and "360 will NEVER outsell PS3 in Others" ect. Whenever I want a good laugh I just hit one of those old links and smile.

Lets see how things go, when the PS3 gets a price cut.....I am sure there will be plenty of meltdowns to go around at that time....who knows.

There will always be controversy regarding said reviews and GOTY awards when they do fall in line with the opinions of others. It is the nature of gaming. You are always bound to piss someone off, who in turn will cry foul, bias, controversy, ect.

When one goes out of there way to alter Wiki that is a certified meltdown in my book. Gears 2 has taken home multiple Best Graphics awards this year and people need to get over it already.

Looking back I think the PS3 has surely seen the biggest amount of unreasonable bashing.

And actually vocal 360 fans have by far spread the most misinformation and FUD, formulated nearly always as fact rather than opinion. I anticipate things to get really ugly in 2009, although I think US media (which has been horrible for a large part) will probably become a little more balanced overall.
