Ok so if sony has the best lineup then why do i keep reading "once we get games like ff and mgs4 sony will own just you wait." Sony has a decent lineup this christmas but it will not i repeat NOT have the best line up untill we get games like ff, mgs4, white knight story etc. At the current moment microsoft and nintendo have the best, and it has def helped sells for both consoles. And yes it is the price which is why ps3 is not getting the love it def deserves. Untill they get a GREAT LINEUP i dont see ps3 being the favorite for a while.

I love sony consoles, didnt have but one single problem with my ps1 and ps2 (had to clean the eye every month) and i will get a ps3 once white knight story comes out and ill be anticipating ff and mgs4. But there is no reason for me to buy a ps3 right now except to let it collect dust.

I dont see hate to sony (except from 360 and wii fanboys) people just dont have alot to talk about it right now, its not doing great in sales (neither is 360 but.... everyone expect more from ps3). It doesnt have killer games coming out (HS and lair are good in my opinion but not killer such as ff) so theres just not much love right now.

I really dont think people hate ps3, i think its the best console (should be for the price it is =) ) and it will have a fantastic lineup once the games actually release.

1.  1995 - 2006 = 11 years.  That's being generous, because when the DS came out is when Nintendo really started beating Sony in a directly competing market.

2.  Must be why you troll every single thing about Nintendo.

3.  This shit annoys the hell out of me.  I have nothing against Sony, but just because I don't like the line up on the PS3 I'm a fanboy?  I loved my PS2.  I had more games for it than my Gamecube and Xbox combined.  I still think the PS3 is a waste of my money, and I still don't think there are any good games for it.  God forbid my opinion be different from yours.

4.  There is a big difference between value and affordability. I can afford a PS3, but do I think it's worth its price?  No. 

People don't like the PS3 because it has none of the qualities that made the PS2 great.  Former PS2 owners are upset because this system just doesn't appeal to them.  For me, the Wii and Xbox 360 are more than enough to enjoy this generation.  I have no desire to purchase a PS3.  That should tell you a lot about how little appeal it has, because I have owned nearly every game console since the NES (that includes things like the Saturn and Dreamcast).

Yeah, I hate the you can't afford the PS3 so you hate it "argument" too. It's not a question of if I can afford one, I can show you a picture of my console collection, entertainment center with TV, car, and games to show I could if I really wanted to, but the fact is it's just not worth it to me.

I don't want BluRay (or HDDVD) because I don't want to buy a format that might go under and re-buy all my movies and keep a legacy player around (and don't give me that BlueRay is winning crap, I don't care, as long as there are two formats there's compition and not everything comes out for my chosen format), I don't really care about HD all that much, there are absolutely no games out on it I want, there are absolutely no games coming out on it I want anytime soon, and I just won't buy a $500 console. I'm not paying $500 for a toy.

Well I never liked Sony far before they did consoles.. SO I don't see why I should now... they do bad products compare to the competitor in almost all market.... (I'm not saying they are all piece of crap (on some market they really are though) but the quality/price factor of Sony is always bad.... you usually can find better for cheaper with other brands)

like I said before for me Sony is to the lectronic & entertainement industry what MS is too the OSs industry... not the best not the cheapest....

and after that when it comes to PS only well, I was a big sega nintendo fan and a really big supporter of the dreamcast... PS1 and PS2 to some extend for the 2 were not a better console than DC and usually not the best game either (all genre considered) the only advantage was the quantity of different title for the PS.... Sony got lucky that Sega had a really really really REALLY bad management at that time and Nintendo was entering their worst periode of their history... without those two factor Sony wouldn't have made it to the PS 3.... so in other words the succes of Sony on that market is not due to their quality but to the failure of their opponent....
the victory was fair played though.... but saying it's a good company it's a stretch... I would say it's an OK company with a great success, a powerful marketing knowledge, and knows how to jump on opportunities...

Beyond the rootkits, exploding batteries, questionably "racial" advertizements, and constant astroturfing (including a fake grafitti campaign) the main thing that causes all of this hatred in our context is that Sony lost touch with the average consumer wants and then made arogant statments which basically state "Anyone who ever owned a Playstation is our bitch!" ...
