Forums - Sony - Just got an 80GB PS3... Questions!

Microsoft makes lots of money off the XBox originals, as I understand it. Sony will not stand by and not compete, I don't think.

I wouldn't be surprised if full software BC for the PS2, as well as PSN downloadable PS2 games, showed up this year. Sony had a lot of good games in the PS2 era -- Ratchet & Clank, Jak & Daxter, God of War, Gran Turismo, Sly Cooper, Killzone 1, Primal, Mark of Kri, Shadow of the Colossus, etc. You can bet they'd love to be selling those to PS3 owners for $12-15 each as downloads, and their own titles would almost certainly be the first available with such a system.

Someone must buy them for that price because people continue to stock them at that price. Call them retarded or whatever, someone merely asked how much more BluRay movies are and I answered.

I agree that Amazon has the best prices and they always have deals but most people aren't like you and have the luxury of spending $40-60 on movies at a time and most people don't enjoy waiting 2-5 days for their purchases. For those people, they get to pay the non-Amazon prices.

Then of course there are those people that can't or won't shop online for various reasons.

Then lets not forget that entire 35+ generation that just doesn't know to use Amazon because they don't know the internet.

Most people are retarded and will buy stuff at high price points, but this guy is asking on a forum, I think we should give him the best price he can find and compare it to that, otherwise we should just send him to FYE or something that charges the MSRP (39.99) for most BD movies....

BTW places other than Amazon are having great deals as well, Walmart, Target and BB have plenty of movies for under 15 bucks, I bought Reservoir Dogs at Walmart for 10 bucks.

EDIT:

I also forgot to suggest Warhawk to the OP, 4 players on one console and that game is addicting and lots of fun.

I picked up 3 Blu-Ray movies from Amazon this past month for $15 each (both Chronicles of Narnia movies, and Kung Fu Panda -- I only buy kids movies, because my kids are the only ones who watch movies more than once, really). BD is getting cheaper -- of course it is. Why would it be any different from any other media format of recent history?

If you are buying Blu-Rays, there are pretty much only three places you can shop or you will get ripped off.

Best - Amazon.com
Second - Tower.com
Third - Wal-Mart

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S.
