Forums - Gaming - Wow! Look at this review for the PC version of GTA4

now all we need is someone to give the ps360 version a review like that to bring its average down...

End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

lmao wtf, that is the worse review in life...how can gamerankings accept a review like that o-O

I agree. it was completely unprofessional. We're not looking at reviews to hear about that guy's computer problems.

If anything, his rant is a perfect example of why computer gaming isn't as good as the fanboys try to tell you(which it isn't.)

I can see where he is coming from, the reviewer had the system requirement as provided by Rockstar, and has obviously tried to fix the issue in various ways without success. This is like Rockstar shipping GTA for the 360 but making it unplayable on all arcade unit.

I do believe however, that it would be better if he had left out the score and simply post the 'review'  up and left it at that.

lol mibuokami your sig is hilarious

People, just look at any GTA4 PC forum. Lots of people can't get the game to run. The game is poorly optimized. It is the only game that Steam started accepting refunds for.

I bet he is the type of guy that says how pc gaming is better and he can make a PC just as good as a console for $400.
Here's why PC gaming is awful, most of the time just getting to the game is a huge timesink. Sure you can make your own Pc for $400 but the time you spent researching, finding parts, building, getting to work etc you could have earned an extra $600 and just paid for a pre-made smoother running pc. Or bought a console and spent that $600 on games, clothes whatever.

I dunno what to think about his review. On the one hand Gta4 probably works fine on the computers it was developed on. The fact he's made his own pc probably doesn't help. On the other it seems quite a lot of people are having problems. I don't think he should have put a score up at all though, after all he didn't review the game. Just left it as N/A

The time I would spend on ordering the parts for a gaming PC and assembling them would be less than an hour. Installing the OS and patching everything has to be done regarless of what I want to do with my PC so that point is moot. I don't know where you work but I'd love to earn more than $600 an hour.

Agreed about the score though, I think GTA4 is among the most overrated games of all time and I wouldn't give it anywhere near a 1/10.
