Forums - Gaming - Wii Motion Plus will also revamp nunchuck's sensors?

All Wii Motion+ is is an additional bit of motion sensing hardware, designed to work in addition to the Wiimote's current sensing. The only reason it improves the Wiimote's sensing is because it's attached to the Wiimote. It augments the Wiimote's motion sensing because it moves along with the Wiimote.

It does not move along with the nunchuck.

So what? Can't the nunchuk movements be improved just by being connected to the attachment?

Man, it gotta improve nunchuks too, it doesn't make sense not doing so. If not, we won't see a 1:1 boxing game

*cries*

Maybe Wii Motion+ could technically provide extra data and position estimates for the Nunchuk via software. But I would not count on it and if it did "work" it might do it worse and no good at all.

Nunchuk might not be better with Wii Motion+ but it does work somewhat and the Wii Remote movement will be much better. You want more? How about Balance Board support as the fast shift in balance when boxing maybe could be calculated together with the movement of the controls giving higher accuracy. Two Wii Remotes could also be used. This is much up to the game makers.

Anyway, I don't think Wii Motion+ will give real 1:1 controls, but it will get better.

No that is impossible unless they built something in the nun chuck that would be activated once M+ is attached. You need to attach something on the nun chuck for it to improve!

This thread is a One touch KO.

The option of using two remotes with two M+ attached is possible it is up to the developers though. How many games use two Wii motes, not many I assume.

exactly.I don't think there is going to be a way to improve the nunchuck but I wish there was so Punch Out could be 1:1 with balance board supportm

meh the OP always says negative things about the wii, from what I have read in over threads.

Any improvement is better for us in general.

It cant improve the nunchuck without having some that is statically atached to the nunchuck.

But as others have said, you could have a boxing game using two Wii remotes.

It won't improve, best proof of this is that otherwise Ninty would have showed some game that highlights that feature.

However it raises the question of whether any type of software update can improve the motion sensing abilities of the remotes?

Wii Sports Resort: Jet ski???

You people don't understand the attachment is connected in thw wiimote in the same port as nunchuck is connected now?

Once you attach wm+ it makes sense to improve BOTH remotes. Man I need to mail Nintendo. We are throwing thoughts and many of us doesn't make any sense of electronics...

The Wii Motion Plus will improve the Wii- remote, the Nunchuck, the Nintendo DS touch Screen, and the Power Glove. You can quote me on that.
