I just thought I would note that I finally found out what the RAM issue was for the past couple years with my Gigabyte Motherboard. I had thought all along that the RAM I bought was somehow not compatable with the board so I had been running it on 1 stick (not all 4) and getting only 128M performance from it all along. I had assumed it was that low because it was meant to be Dualed with a second in the pair so it operated at half speed alone.
At any rate, the issue was not with the RAM, or voltage as I had suspected at a point, but it seems that the housing is slightly off centered, so that the groves were not lining up with the conducters, thus the motherboard thought there was no RAM in there.
I was wondering if anyone else has heard of this problem with these boards. I had not, and they seem to be popular enough that an issue like this would have been talked about, so Im assuming that this is just my board.
soooo, what ya think?
(Now I just need to fix my keyboard/mouse, or buy new and I'll be playing my Half-Life 2 on STEAM, thanks again DarkNight_DS)
