I know nobody except me and elgefe care, but this thread was made to celebrate the 23rd Argentinian League obtained by Boca Juniors tonight.

So let's celebrate and drink for the best football team in the world!

AVELLANEDA, Argentina, Dec. 23 (UPI) -- Leandro Lazzaro scored a 67th minute goal for Tigre Tuesday, but Boca Juniors held on to win the Argentine Championship for a 23rd time.

Despite the 1-0 defeat at the hands of Tigre, which has never won the championship, Boca won in the three-team aggregate playoff.

After San Lorenzo, Tigre and Boca Juniors all finished with 39 points in the regular season, a round-robin playoff decided the 2008 Apertura.

San Lorenzo defeated Tigre 2-1 Dec. 17 and Boca beat San Lorenzo 3-1 three days later to set up Tuesday's championship match, which was decided by total goals scored in the playoff.

Congratz!! I just see a monopoly in Argentina though, same winners everytime, but I guess that's great or you.

Well, it's true that most titles are won by either Boca or River, but lately there have been a lot of different champions, check the latest winners (in parenthesis are the points obtained)

Still, I'm just too happy, WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

congrats to boca juniors, if i am not mistaken that is were maradona started his amazing football career, they also produced some other great Argentine players
