I dont know what its like in your neck of the woods but in Ireland we are having 50% sales prior to Xmas.

Unprecedented really.

Come January I would not be surprised to see the price come down big time on all products.

At the moment the 40 gig is selling at around 329 so 250 would not be beyond reasonable bounds.

I'm in your neck of the woods too, it's nice to have cheap stuff now but don't expect it to last as retailers simply buy less stock or go out of business in the long run.

If you want a cheap PS3, try woolworths in the north. And yeah, I wouldn't be surprised to see a few that cheap in the south post christmas.

I was thinking of the north alright especially with the Sterling rate but are Woolworths not finished.

How much is the Wii where you guys are. And is it being discounted at all? Just for comparisons

No but its still 50% proof which is the most important thing.

So you think we may see the prices of the Wii and PS3 together soon. Not officially but with discounts from ratailers. Will be interesting to see what happens sale wise. The difference in Australia is massive. Wii sells for $400 and the PS3 for $700 but I have seen it at $620 or there abouts. Must be more competirtion in your area.

They're going out of business, so they're having sales. They're not completely finished yet, but you'd probably have to be lucky to get a bargain PS3 before someone else spots it.
