HD is the new craze, lots of people gettin HD TVs. And Blu-Ray is the new format that goes hand in hand with all these nice big flatscreens : )

Why bother getting a 1080p tv if you're not going to get a 1080p Blu-Ray player or a 1080p console? It's all pretty straight forward to me. The ps3 is the creme de la creme when it comes to an all in one home entertainment system.

ps; I'm European and I can tell you that Blu-Ray extremely popular in my country.

Yeah the sales do increase because they heavily marketed and pushed everywhere, on TV, in every HMV in the Uk i'll see some form of Blu Ray advertisment etc. etc.

DVD still crushes and will continue to crash it in sales. Blu Ray is doing better but still not good enough.
