@Selnor, do you even know what your talking about with all the Direct X babble >_>? Your acting like something having Direct X 10 23463209284.2365497r4 x 4 or whatever the hell they're on now instantly makes a game some masterpiece to the eyes. How are games like Killzone 2, Uncharted 2 (or 1 for that matter), GT5 or whatever other console game that put out insane graphics while at the same time giving Direct X 10 the big fatty doing so well on a technical level?

Who cares if we don't have the solid "figures" to back up some preposterous claim like "well we play games in teh 28734978234x103498761348907523 resolutions". If your games don't look that much better than ours (which they don't), then what's the big ass number for? Direct X (???), resolution of 8,000,0000x123,234,634,3434. It doesn't matter :/ Crysis isn't that much more impressive to warrant jealousy.

 

 Clearly the photorealistic shots posted above massively disagree with you.

Why console gamers can't you just believe the people who have all the consoles and have an 1700 dollar PC (like me). I have all those games you are telling to be close but guess what there not. I have yet to see somebody who can really compare them to disagree with us.

yeah the closest i could fine was uncharted: drake fortune, uncharted 2 its looking even better, but no console will ever be more powerful than PC. especially when its already going 2-3 in if life

currect system problem it's they don't have enough ram to handle crysis, all the gpu level it need to have also more ram and be faster.

It's so easy to point out which of those screens are in game and which are not. I own crysis I doesn't even look better then Farcry 2.

PS. All games look good on a $20,000 PC.

@Sleepwalking, oh no I agree in full that Crysis is the best looking example of a gorgeous game this gen :P And I know full well you don't need some gaming rig on crack to run it at max settings. I'm just saying, for your average guy, who doesn't understand jack crap about upgrading a computer, who can't begin to even figure out how to build one, or about what cards offer the best this for that, the world of PC gaming is just much more complicated than the console realm. Now if you were comparing Crysis to Xbox games, or PS2 games, it would be one thing. But the 360 and the PS3 aren't that far behind.

Like if you put those screens next to the best screens you could possibly take off of a PS3 or 360 game, mixed them all together, and didn't add any labels, one would actually have to look somewhat closely to see which is the better of the pics. Before, PC's had like TONS more plantlife, and like an infinite number of polygons compared to the consoles, but now the consoles are really high as well, the PC just obviously has them beat. It's not comparing night to day, it's comparing midnight to 9'oclock.

@Selnor... ummm no they don't o.O;;; Weren't you the biggest advocate of how amazing farcry 2 was going to look on the 360. How about you post some of your own pics, and honestly compare them to the ones in this topic. They aren't universes apart.

it's obvious you don't own it (or maybe you just got a really shitty computer BTW all those screens are ingame, just point me the ones that are not (Crysis never uses anything else the  ingame so there)
