Looks amazing in "BULLSHOTS", because every video of Crysis I've seen is good but doesn't even come close to the screen shots PC fan boys post around. Killzone 2 looks way better then Crysis or for that matter any other game. MGS4 is winning so many best graphics awards, i don't think there is any doubt left which was best looking game in 2008.

There is little doubt that PC are way more powerful then PS3 and 360 combined but with time and money console games will always have edge in graphics thanks to piracy.

I laugh at everyone who says "All the video's I've seen the game looks no where near as good", well no shit dumbass you're watching a video that's been resized to upload onto the internet, you're probably watching the damn thing on youtube.

The only reason another game may have won best graphics is because of the investment currently needed to get the best out of Crysis. I can only laugh at the comparisons people put up that they think are better, I think you all need glasses.

For the record my PC is dead, I don't own a PS3 or an Xbox360 so I'm not biased towards any system here, this is just common fucking sense.

being a pc/console gamer (more of console)...... console are better. i used 1300 usd on a gaming pc (wont happen again) this year and i think it would of been better money spent for a 2nd ps3 and a 2nd hdtv for my cousin so we can play online together.

stop bringing up crysis as argument. it looks good but u need a expensive computer to play it at a stable fps while still looking good. crysis looks good but killzone is looks good and is FUN..... crysis is just boring.

i go on pc forums too. they get angry alot. i defend consoles sometimes and all they do is bring up crysis and the graphics > fun

2 points to consider :

1) Most of the time the super-quality screenshots you speak of are often those made by the people that publish a TOD or a tweak (or by people testing those). I mean those take time to look for "the right scene with the right angle" to illustrate the beauty of the component.

Often in such screenshots you will see sunshafts for example (that adds to the subjective beauty of a scene).

I have no particuliar gift about photography and my shots were simply taken where i thought it would be cute. (there are sunshafts with my settings ... lol)

2) Given my display is 1080p i had 3 main objectives with my settings.

- Rendering >= HD Ready (as the TV will upscale)

- Having 30-40 FPS

 - Taking account 1 & 2, having the prettiest game possible.

So the  trade offs were :

- light on effects (no AA, no AF, etc.)

- the tweak i used is not the "prettiest" and the parameters i use from it are "low Ultra High settings"

the conclusion is : in motion, MGS4, Uncharted and 720p movies from KZ2 are way behind Crysis with my settings. I let you imagine the difference with "higher" settings ...

 Do yourself a favour, go play this game on a gaming rig. My mates PC makes the game look better than these shots. Hes running a quad core, 4 gb ram, x2 1gb geforce cards. It is simply the most amazing visuals Ive ever seen. It's truly awesome.

All the vids and shots on the net pale compared to my mates PC in motion. Yes the game is that good. And there is a big difference between DX9 and DX10.

So you know the following is gameplay, and look at the difference in smoke to the DX9 and 10. Either way it blows consoles out of the water. Looking at the videos and the differenc ebetween DX9 and 10, it's worth mentioning that the 360 video card can do certain DX10 stuff like lighting and shadowing also smoke effects. Whereas PS3 cannot as the card cant do these features.

And see what DX10 features do. This looks so good, Heavy Rain can never take advantage of the shadow ability or lighting ability shown below.

 LOL. MGS4 has won one award for Graphics that Ive seen. And for your info, Gears 2 has won 4 now. But Crysis beats both games.

ive played crysis demo and they DO NOT look like that at all high/very high (forgot) and 1280x1024 0aa. post some user uploaded gameplay from youtube HD instead :)

Arguing that console graphics can come close to PC graphics *may* be plausible during the first few months of a consoles launch (360 Call of Duty 2 and Oblivion looked and ran amazing for what you paid for when they came out) but months after the technology is cheaper and the PC hold a advantage with newer graphics cards coming out every few months.

The PC is always supperior for graphics and framerate, It's just a matter of how much your willing to spend on a PC to get those games to run really good.

However, for $200 you won't be able to get a full PC and a graphics card to run settings are very high to outmatch the 360. So bang for buck consoles are still the way to go.

Still there are some games I rather play on the PC then the console - Sims, Blizzard Games and even Fallout 3.

Hm one thing I've always wondered about.
Most folks here will say that you need a 42" screen or better to tell the difference between DVD and Blu-Ray.
Now, how can the difference be compared on a 22" or even 30" PC screen?
Or are these people all PC gaming on their HDTV's?
The mind boggles and I'd like to know...

 You played the demo? You mean the demo where it says a work in progres, and is missing alot of fetures and effects from graphics.

I have seen the game at 1600 x 1200 on ultimate settings. Yes it destroys the stupid low res youtube shite. Look I love consoles and the 360 especially. And it's great to see Gears 2 winning the most graphics awards across the net, but I'm not stupid. Crysis murders console graphics when beefed to the max.
